Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) is a government agency of Bangladesh. It is responsible for the management, maintenance and governance of the country’s major port of Chittagong. It located in the city of Chittagong on the Karnaphuli River nine nautical miles from the shore of the Bay of Bengal of the Indian Ocean. The CPA is part of the Ministry of Shipping.
The port of Chittagong has been in operation since at least the 4th century BC. In modern times governed by Port Commissioners and the Port Railway following the Port Commissioner’s Act of 1887 in British India. After the partition of India in 1947 and a subsequent rise in port traffic, the modern Chittagong Port Authority began its existence in 1960 as the Chittagong Port Trust. Due to continued expansion and lack of effective governance. After the Bangladesh Liberation War, the Port Trust was granted semi-autonomous status within the government, and renamed to Chittagong Port Authority, in 1976.
Eligibility/ Educational Qualification
- Lanka: Minimum Graduation from any Reputed University with Computer Training with Certificate.
- Age: Minimum age of 10 years is 32 years, but the son/daughter of the freedom fighter is 30 years of age.
- Post: 13
- Education: There will good health rights along with JSC pass. SSC pass candidates will be given preference.

The applicant will have to submit the online application form on the jobs portal of the Chittagong Port Authority Job at jobscpa.org and submit it. Of course, the Unicode Bangla format has to be filled. Follow the instruction as follows –
- Go to the http://jobscpa.org/
- Select your position as ‘LANKAR’.
- If you already working in Chittagong Port Authority or any other government organization, select, neither select Not Applicable option.
- Then write your name in Bangla and English and write your Father and Mother.
- Select your Quota Son / Daughter of the freedom fighter.
- Give your National ID (NID) number and Email.
- Provide your Marital Status and Religion, Select your Gender.
- Upload the most recent colour photograph 300 × 300 Resolutions in jpg/jpeg format of 25 kb.
- Then give your Education Qualification as JSC/SSC, Passing Year etc.
- Upload you scan signature 300 × 80 Resolutions in jpg/jpeg format of 25 kb.

Payment Application Fee:
After submitting the application form online, the applicant will have to print and download the Sonali Bank Pay Slip and Sonali Bank with the same number of print copies (hard copies) and same registration number with a registration number. In any branch of Sonali Bank (except Port No., Chittagong), the pay-slip will be payable by the prescribed amount fee and bank charge for the recruitment fee. Bank draft/pay order / dt is not acceptable Hard copy/print copies of the online application must be kept secretively. Apprenticeship fee 50 / – (fifty) Taka.
How to Post Letter
Within 15 (fifteen) days by the certified copies of all certificates, transcript/mark sheets, nationality certificate, national identity card, applicable fictitious certificates, experience certificate etc. For the applicants, copy, age and educational qualification of the online application, the director (administration) Chittagong Port Authority, to be sent to Bandar, Chittagong. Of course, the name of the post should be mentioned on the envelope.
